Jag skrev i söndags om vårens framfart och att vi kanske skulle hinna få riktiga påskliljor som blommade till påsk. Men si det gack icke! Nej, vi har haft flera flockar med rådjur som har vandrat omkring på vår tomt de senaste dagarna, och de tyckte de späda liljeplantorna smakade väldigt läckert.

Jag har ingen aning om plantorna kan repa sig och om vi kan få några liljor som blommar så småningom, men till påsken hinner de säkert inte repa sig. Vi får äta våra chokladpåskkaniner utan påskliljor på bordet. Vi äter chokladkaninerna och rådjuren äter påskliljorna.

Last Sunday I wrote about the arrival of Spring and that we maybe would have the lilies blooming by Easter, No way it will happen! We have had several herds of deer wandering around on our property lately, and they very much liked the taste of the young lily plants.

I have no idea if the plants can come back, and if we can have any blooming lilies later, but until Easter I am sure there will not be enough time for them come back. We have to eat our chocolate Easter bunnies without blooming lilies on the table. We eat the chocolate bunnies, and the deer eat the Easter lilies.
