Jag har tillbringat en vecka på tre olika sjukhus här i Minnesota. Sjukhus belägna i småstäder jag aldrig tidigare hade besökt. Jag studerade minnesotakartan för att se var jag var och då slog det mig hur många helgon det finns här.

I have spent a week in three different hospitals here in Minnesota. Hospitals in small towns I never before have visited. I studied the map over Minnesota to see where I was. and then it hit me how many saints there are here.

What I mean is towns and cities with names of a saint. If I begin with St Peter, that town was meant to be the capital of Minnesota, but that honor was bestowed on St Paul instead. St Peter however is the site of the Swedish college Gustavus Adolphus.

Here are the rest of the saintly towns: St Anthony, St Augusta, St Bonifacius, St Charles, St Clair, St Cloud, St Francis, St Hilaire, St James, St Joseph, St Leo, St Louis Park, St Martin, St Michael, St Stephen, och St Vincent.

I have not checked any source within the Catholic church to see if all these saintly towns are named after canonized saints. Personally I have never heard about St Augusta, St Cloud, St Hilaire and St Leo, but that does not mean that they are not canonized by the Catholic church.
