Levi's berättelse,

Under 9 år, 2010 - 2019, hette min bäste och mest förtrogned vän Friendly. Han var en katt. Speciellt efter min fru Chris dog 2016 blev han ett stort stöd och sällskap för mig. Men på våren 2019 dog han helt oväntat. Tomheten blev stor. Min pastor, Rev. Steve Bielenberg och hans fru Corinne insåg min situation och kom till min räddning. (Bild 2) De är personer som förstår männinskans alla behov. De tog mig till Animal Humane Society, där jag fick välja ut en katt som födelsedgspresent. Vi gick runt och tittade på de olika katter de hade där, men så fort vi kom till buren med Levi visste jag att han var katten för mig. Bilenbergs accepterade mitt val.

Levi var då tio månader gammal. Jag hade redan den Norska Skogskatten Lexis hemma.(Bild 3) Hon är 12 år och mycket reserverad. Hon och jag var aldrig kompisar. Hon var mer Chris' katt. Lexis och Levi var inte fientliga mot varandra, men inte heller kompisar. De respekterade varandra och med tiden kunde de sova med bara en halvmeter mellan varandra. Levi och jag blev dock vänner och kompisar på en gång. Han sover i min säng, han är runt mina fötter och han är med mig vad jag än gör. Han är mycket nyfiken och ständigt i vägen för mig. Han ligger på tangentbordet när jag skall gå på datorn. Han lägger sig mitt i tidningen eller boken jag läser. (Bild 4) Han ligger i mitt knä när jag tittar på TV. Vi är riktiga kompisar. Levi kom verklingen in i mitt liv när jag behövde en vän och konfidant.

Han är inte rädd för besökare heller utan låter dem klappa honom. Marilyn och han börjar också bli goda vänner nu, De leker tillsammans och korta stunder kan han även sitta i hennes knä.

Levi's story,

For 9 years, 2010 - 2019, my best and most trusted friend was named Friendly. He was a cat. Especially after my wife Chris died in 2016, he became a great support and companion for me. But in the spring of 2019 he died completely unexpectedly. The emptiness became great. My Pastor, Rev. Steve Bielenberg and his wife Corinne realized my situation and came to my rescue. (pic 2). They are people who understand all human needs. They took me to the Animal Humane Society, where I got to choose a cat as a birthday present. We walked around looking at the different cats they had there, but as soon as we got to the cage with Levi I knew he was the cat for me. Bilenbergs accepted my choice.

Levi was then ten months old. I already had the Norwegian Forest Cat Lexis at home. (Pic 3) She is 12 years old and very reserved. She and I were never friends. She was more Chris' cat. Lexis and Levi were not hostile to each other, but neither were their friends. They respected each other and over time they could sleep with only aew feet between each other. However, Levi and I became friends and buddies at once. He sleeps in my bed, he's around my feet and he's with me whatever I do. He is very curious and constantly in the way of me. He is on the keyboard when I go to the computer. He lays in the middle of the newspaper or book I read. (Pic 4)He is in my lap when I watch TV. We are real friends. Levi arrived in my life when I needed a friend and confidant.

He is not afraid of visitors either, but lets them pat him. Marilyn and he are also starting to become good friends now. They play together and for short moments he can also sit on her lap.
