De hemmagjorde gärsgårdarna har delvis funkat hittills i sommar att hålla rådjuren borta från våra blomplanteringar. Delvis, säger jag, för på ett av de inhägnade områdena har rådjuren listat ut hur de kan krypa igenom gärsgården på ett ställe där det var lite glesare mellan störarna. De har dock inte skövlat helt där, som de gjorde innan det fanns något staket alls där.

På ett annat inhägnat område har gärsgården funkat till full belåtenhet. Det är en bit av det området som syns på fotot ovan. Förutom alla blommor vi nu kan njuta av utanför de stora fönstren på det som byggherrarna kallade "sun room", så kan vi njuta av alla slags fjärilar i skiftande färger och storlekar. Vi har även de små kolibrierna som kommer och suger nektar ur vissa trattblommor vi har där.

På "att göra" listan för nästa vår kommer det förmodligen att stå att jag skall utöka de inhägnade områdena och även förstärka årets svaga länkar. Så nu har jag redan säkrat arbete för nästa vår.

The home made farmers fences have worked to some parts this Summer to keep the deer away from our flower beds. I say, to some parts, because in one fenced in area the deer have figured out how to crawl through the fence in one spot where the poles were little further apart. However, they have not eaten everything there, which they did before there was a fence there.

In another fenced in area the farmers fence has worked to full satisfaction. It is part of that area captured in the photo above. In addition to all flowers, we now can enjoy looking at outside the large windows to the room the builder called "the sun room", we can enjoy the company of all kind of butterflies in different color schemes and sizes. We even have the small humming birds coming sucking sugar from some types of flowers we have there.

On the "to do" list for next Spring there will probably be an entry saying that I shall extend the fenced in areas and also fix the weak links in the existing fence. Thus now I have already secured work for next year
